As part of my #weeknotechallenge I have decided to challenge myself to doing a different style of weeknotes every week.

The other Nine are linked below:

‘Traditional’ Weeknotes , Gif-Notes , Sketch-Notes, Shanty-Notes, Week-quotes, Animal Crossing — Notes , Poster — Notes, Haiku — notes, Achievement — notes

This week i am kicking off Hanami Festival (festival of flowers) with my weeknotes inspired by flowers!

Coreopsis + Busy bees

Monday: Collaboration

Bees and flowers collaborate and work together so i am starting my notes with them 🐝

My week started with some great examples of people coming together to collaborate. The multi-disciplinary team planned a new council tax discount experience for customers, and I had some great conversations around creativity week with Learning & Development and Communications. Some great ideas and a real team effort. Keep a look out soon!

Cactus Tree

Tuesday: Procrastination

One thing i have been grasping with this week is procrastination. There is something about this whole ‘situation’ that makes is harder to really concentrate on one piece of work. I am so used to jumping between lots of different things that its sometimes a struggle to just do one thing.

The reason i chose the cactus tree is because it takes 40 years to grow one arm! Now that is some serious procrastination #relatable

Moss

Wednesday: Trust

Moss is one of the most trusted plants in the world because for 1000s of years it has been used for navigation.

Trust is vital for working on a piece of work and when that falls apart it has drastic effects on moral and teamwork. This week i was affected by a lack of trust. Trust is easy to lose and hard to regain.

Oak tree

Thursday: Planting seeds for the future

On a more positive note, Thursday was a good day.

After what feels like ages, we can finally meet people outside so the day started with a Team walk which was nice. One thing that you cant do virtually is have multiple conversations going on at the same time!

Later in the afternoon was all about Digital Dorset. We have a new podcast volume coming up, multiple award submissions and the start of the #FutureFest21 promotion. (watch this space)

Why an Oak tree i hear you ask? Oak trees grow for a long time and start from a little acorn, i like to think that some of the ideas for Dorset’s Digital Future are like their own little acorns and with a little watering they will flourish!

That’s enough from me today if you’ve got this far thanks for reading,

Hope you have a great easter!

Sam out.
